Well, dealing with crime is (strictly speaking) something for the police, not the local council. Of course, there are things we can do to help such as promoting local investment in jobs and providing activities for young people, but these are only part of the picture.
Hi sorry for the delay in responding back to you. I have to be honest and admit that my area is not Chesham but crime is always difficult to addres as so many people are involved with crime, no matter how big or small
It’s pretty difficult dealing with crime in any area. Of course the police need to be involved in tackling crime, but there are other people who need to be involved in trying to prevent it in the first place. Schools, youth organisations, community groups, councils, all need to work together. Crime tends to increase in difficult financial times such as now, so the work that all these groups are doing to try to tackle deprivation and poverty all contribute to crime prevention. That’s not a quick process though.
