There’s no suggestion that special schools should be moved to mainstream. For some students, a special school is absolutely the right place for them to be to help them achieve their maximum potential. But there are some children currently in special schools who would benefit from being in a mainstream school, of course with appropriate support for both them and their teachers. It’s a matter of deciding where individual students will be best placed.
