Question: Psychologically it is proved that young people in care are mentally broke down because of less of trust. Why can we not understand and make sure they feel alright when they come in care? and Instead they have more problems being in care, while the whole britain only knows about the social workers' problems, but not the child in care's perspective. We should understand that every child matters to every right of safegaurding and best possible way of living as others. What are your opinions and what can you offer?

What a very good point to make – just shows how much we need to listen to your views. It’s difficult to get the views of young people in care made public, because my understanding is that they want to be treated the same as other young people, and not identified as being in care. Safeguarding all children and young people is something we treat very seriously, but is one of the most difficult things we do. Our Local Safeguarding Children Board (www.bucks-lscb.gov.uk) brings together all those organisations in Buckinghamshire with a role to play in preventing harm to children as far as possible to look at what we can do to keep all children and young people safe. You might like to contact the Chairman of that Board through the website to make your point. I’m sure he’d be interested to hear from you.

No I have tried a lot through WDC team and still are but young people just get listened but nothing gets done and all they come back with an answer of cuts and stuff. Do we have to leaise about money even with care system that needs improvements to be brought in but unfortunately everything is going the other way around. Maybe we dont need much councillors who cant do anything, do you see where I come from?
