Question: hi my name is James, i sometimes do paintballing but the closest center is in hertfordshire and i would profer it if there was one near here. do you think that might be posiable?
I think that would be pretty hard to achieve if I’m honest James. Councils have massive financial difficulties at the moment and we are already focusing our money on areas where we are needed the most such as vulnerable elderly people, education, special educational needs, and other top rpiority areas. I am not sure that I could persuade colleagues to invest in a paintballing facility.
I did paint balling once fantastic time I had, what you could do is approach a local land owner and see if he would let you borrow his land and organise a game, another local school or youth club might want to join ranks with you, you could approach the local youth worker or the parish council or even your Local Area Forum who could help with the money, your school might help as well.
James, I’m afraid this is not something that councillors are likely to be able to help with. Are you a member of a Youth Club, or another youth group, which could organise trips to the Hertfordshire centre?
